Butterfly Valves
Under InterApp, we have 3 main models of butterfly valves, namely Desponia, Desponia plus & Bianca.
Desponia and Desponia plus are centric butterfly valves with an elastomer Iiner, designed and built for long-lasting use in highly demanding environments. Engineered and manufactured for more than 30 years in Spain, they represent the core of InterApp’s comprehensive portfolio of industrial valves.
Whereas Desponia can be supplied with a cast iron and ductile iron body, Desponia plus offers the possibility to choose between a body made of ductile iron, carbon steel, cast iron or stainless steel. The resistant body and robust liner available in many different materials, as well as the large range of different disc materials to choose from, means that Desponia and Desponia plus are truly state-of-the-art industrial valves.
Specifically designed to carry liquids and gasses on an industrial level, Desponia and Desponia plus have the following common applications:
- Steel industry
- Water treatment
- Marine
- Oil & Gas
- Life science
- Chemical process
Material selections (Desponia):
Liner materials: EPDM, Nitrile, FPM, Flucast®, CSM, ECO, Silicone, white and blue liners for food applications.
Disc materials: Rilsan®, Polyurethan, Halar®, PEKK, Ultralene Coating™, Nickel plated, Nickel aluminium bronze, Stainless steel, Stainless steel (Ra < 0.8), Super austenitic steel and Hastelloy.

To avoid contaminations caused by corrosion which is unavoidable while dealing with corrosive fluids, we offer Bianica which a butterfly valve with centrice PTFE lining.
Designed and manufactured for over 20 years in Switzerland, Bianca is built for long-lasting use in highly demanding media and environments. In order to cover the requirements of various industries, Bianca is available with a ductile iron and stainless steel body. Thanks to the range of conductive disc and liner materials, it can even be used in explosive environments. High-purity, LABS-free and ATEX versions are also available. The high availability of semi-finished components enables short delivery times, even on large sizes up to DN 900.
With Switzerland as its homeland, Bianca has a production history of over 20 years because of its capability to handle high-demanding fluids and ability to perform in tough environments.
For regular usage, Bianica is manufactured using stainless steel or ductile iron but it can also be modified to handle explosive environment with a modification in its conductive disc and liner material.
We have a huge stock of semi-finished components which allow AVK to make timely deliveries of large sizes of even up to DN 900. Other versions that we can provide are high-purity LABS-free and ATEX.
Bianica allows efficient closure and regulation of flow of corrosive fluids, maintaining a high-purity quotient. For this precision, it is used in the following industries:
- Oil & Gas
- Water treatment
- Mining & Slurry
- Life science
- Power generation
- Steel industry
- Chemical processing
